First, the location "between Derry and Blairsville" is a bit bogus, as Blairsville is a couple of miles off the main line. Torrance is on the main line and is at the junction of the Indiana Branch,...

The pictures all show the area on a straight section of main line. I cannot tell if the line curves beyond the overpass but wasn`t BH on a curve? If so,the tower shown must have been one of the others...

Thanks for the reply Pete. I checked that site and couldn`t find anything. I appreciate the info that I just received about the area. My mind is just wandering now to try and pinpoint the location.

Pat,Can you share the photo? If you scan it and post it or email a copy, we might be able to figure it out.There was a derailment in Manor of a passenger train, but I think well before the 1950's.Jim F.
